Weeky Horoscope

Hmm, it seems true. :(

Week of March 13, 2005

You may find that you get caught up in something of a drama at the start of the week as there are a couple of powerful aspects that could catch you off center. The Sun moves to square Pluto on Monday. You may want to be holding all the aces, yet find that your attitude is somehow alienating others in a way you may not be currently aware of. Try and display more of a team spirit and more of an open-hearted attitude to others and your life will suddenly become that much easier. Jupiter does trine Neptune at the beginning of the week, so there is plenty of scope for inspiration and a little spirituality - if you will let it happen. Venus trines Saturn, so you know where you stand concerning one matter associated with your household responsibilities. Venus also squares Pluto on Friday, which may coincide with these same at-home issues. Don't inflame them - let go and it will all sort itself out. Mercury, your love and relationship planet, turns retrograde on Saturday, which brings a touch of chaos to many areas of life. The messenger planet remains retrograde until April 12 so be sure to back up important data and do the usual check to see that your anti-virus program is up-to-date. Signing important contracts, or buying a new car or computer is also not recommended at this time.

  • Career

As a far-sighted and truth-seeking Sagittarius, you want to contribute to society's well-being. You feel at home with abstract ideas, principles, and beliefs. With your open-minded and future oriented approach, liberty and freedom are of the utmost importance to you.

Professions that allow you to explore and expand - physically and intellectually—are perfect for you. Therefore, you may like careers that allow you to work in other countries, or at least travel to distant places. Working for a university, a church, or other institutions that fight for a cause may appeal to you.

As a foreign affairs-loving Sagittarius, you could find professions in the tourism industry interesting, and may enjoy working for a travel agent, an airline, or a hotel chain.

Your principled and ethical nature may cause you to choose a legal profession in the fields of commercial or business law, civil law, or fair trading law. Due to your cosmopolitan nature, you would make an excellent diplomat who works in an embassy in another country.

Among your coworkers, you are known for being optimistic and philosophical in your approach of life. They know they can count on your honesty and that you stick to your promises. However, once in awhile your hypocritical statements may annoy them.

You are a great boss and know how to lead a team! You plan ahead wisely and are very goal oriented. You have the gift to inspire and encourage your team, while letting them work independently.

The secret of your success is your energetic and outgoing nature, which allows you to achieve your goals through the power of positive thinking.

  • Personality

As a future-oriented Sagittarius, the ninth sign of the zodiac, you are considered the most prophetic of the signs because you have the urge to understand the meaning of life. Also the most mobile sign of the zodiac, you explore beyond physical and mental boundaries, and thrive on freedom and liberty.

Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, is the ruler of Sagittarius, and brings optimism and joy to life. Jupiter is also associated with a person's spiritual beliefs and philosophic standards.

Sagittarius is the third fire sign. This fiery influence is like a candle in the dark, lighting the way to knowledge and wisdom. You walk through life high-spirited and openhearted, always seeking the truth. You are farsighted and goal-directed and are gifted in grasping general principles.

Sagittarius rules the ninth house of the chart, the section associated with the exploration of the intellectual mind or the physical world. Therefore, this house stands for religion, philosophy, higher education, as well as long journeys.

Sagittarius is a mutable sign, making you a communicator and teacher. Since you have the natural ability to gain profound insight into scientific and spiritual fields, you feel that it is your mission to contribute your knowledge on to the world.

One of your main strengths, dear Sag, is that you achieve your goals through the power of positive thinking. Your happy-go-lucky, future-oriented nature opens many doors for you. You are direct, honest, and jovial, which makes you a very humane and amiable friend, lover, and coworker.

Of course, you also have some weaknesses; due to your disposition, your head is often in the clouds, and you are oblivious to reality. You also run the risk of being hypocritical, and get so opinionated and dogmatic that you impose your "truth" upon others. You also don't tolerate any kind of restriction, and develop restlessness and unquenchable wanderlust.

  • Love

The primary motivation ruling force for Sagittarius is the "need to understand." For Sagittarius, life is a grand, marvelous adventure to be experienced and lived to it's fullest. With Sagittarius, options and possibilities are endless - and Sagittarius is always headed for the distant broad horizon. In the throes of heartfelt love, Sagittarius will want his or her partner to share in this great adventure called life. One of the biggest mistakes a love partner can make is the attempt to cage Sagittarius in, either physically or emotionally.
Ruled by the planet Jupiter, one need only look to mythology to understand that attempts to cage the free spirit of Sagittarius are fruitless and end up being a big, big, big mistake. Zeus, the Greek equivalent of the Roman god, Jupiter, was the all-powerful, chief Olympian god. Zeus was married to the goddess Hera (Juno to the Romans). Mythology is full of the many, many, many, many sexual escapades of Zeus "planting his seed" with mortal women. His jealous wife Hera, was always just one step behind him. Hera excelled in nagging Zeus and bringing torments down upon the mortal women Zeus had been with.

Sagittarius will often end up unconsciously choosing to marry a practical Hera type (male or female) in order to help Sagittarius keep "one foot on the ground." Unfortunately, Zeus marrying Hera is a double-edged sword and a "Catch 22." It sets up Sagittarius and his or her lover into compulsively playing out the archetypal myth of Zeus and Hera in their day to day lives.

The living out of the Zeus and Hera myth might be done in a lliteral and/or a figurative fashion. Fortunately, most Sagittarians don't feel the need to live out the myth of Zeus and Hera and/or "plant his or her seed" in a literal way. For all of you Heras out there (male and female) - it's important to remember that Sagittarius always needs something to believe in and a distant goal to reach for (realistic or not). Unconsciously playing the archetypal role of jealous Hera, and dashing the hopes and dreams (his or her seeds) of Sagittarius, is not a wise thing for a lover to do. The more Hera plays his or her part by criticizing and restraining (and keeping one of Zeus' feet on the ground), the more discontented your Sagittarius lover will become and the more your Sagittarius lover will need freedom. That, in turn, will cause you (playing the part of Hera) to pull, criticize, and restrain even harder. Can you see the endless cycle you're caught up in?

Shadow: Being open to all possibilities means Sagittarius will often keep a back door escape route open, just in case of emergency. Commitment and obligations aren't normally a strong suit. Sagittarius should take care not to live out the myth of Zeus in a literal way. Nope, not good. Freely spreading your seed (or anything else) won't bring you (or your lover) happiness and/or contentment in this life. The grass only seems greener on the other side. While Zeus enjoyed his adventures (and planting his seeds), he always wanted to come back to the safety of home and hearth. Make sure you haven't burned all the bridges leading home by the spreading of your seed.
